We’ve been selected to join Innovate UK’s Global Business Innovation Programme five-day visit to Sweden from 16-20 May 2022 where we will be meeting the country’s top aerospace companies and leading academic and research institutes.
Themed ‘Sustainable Aviation’, the programme provides a unique opportunity to develop partnerships and identify opportunities for technical collaborations. We’re looking forward to meetings with GKN Aerospace Sweden AB, Saab AB, Heart Aerospace and H2Gear. The Swedish aerospace sector employs more than 14,000 people and has a turnover greater than €2.6 billion per year with international sales accounting for 70% of all revenues. Sweden has a clear national research and innovation agenda, set out in NRIA Flyg 2020, which prioritises international collaboration and offers significant opportunities for UK companies developing sustainable aviation solutions.
We’ll be showcasing our coatings as REACH-compliant alternatives to environmentally damaging hard chrome plating and as a hydrogen permeation barrier on valves and compressor parts.
