Hardide has completed a key upgrade to its Martinsville, Virginia facility, expanding the range of materials that can be pretreated and coated on-site using its advanced CVD technology.
As a result of this investment, Hardide’s US facility can now coat inconel, monel, stellite, graphite, low alloys steels, and copper components in addition to stainless steel. This expansion enables reliable coating of more challenging materials whilst removing the need to ship parts overseas for processing.
The upgrade comes at a critical time, as ongoing global trade tensions and tariff pressures increase the importance of reliable, domestic supply chains. With this enhanced capability, Hardide offers US-based customers shorter lead times, reduced logistics complexity, and lower total cost of acquisition.
This forms part of Hardide’s ongoing investment in North America, reinforcing its position as a responsive, high-performance coating partner for US-based manufacturers.
